What do these Cells look like under our microscope??

Below are cell samples from our own patients cells!

These pictures contain;

  • Fat cells
  • Stem cells
  • Endothelial cells
  • Capillaries (blood vessels)
  • Live cells & dead cells
  • Debris (broken cells)

We have taken these images using our Leica Fluorescent Microscope with variable magnifications between 200x to 600x .
To obtain images which separates different cell types we have required the
assistance of several stains inclusive of;

  • DAPI Nuclear stain
  • TRYPAN blue
  • Propidium iodide

We have taken all these images  with the assistance of published handbook “Molecular Probes – Fluorescent Probes and Labeling Technologies”

REF: Spence, M. and Johnson, I. (2010). The molecular probes handbook. 1st ed. [Carlsbad, CA]: Life Technologies Corporation.
