We provide the patient with the full cellular mix obtained from either body fat (adipose) or bone marrow. This is known as the
“Stromal Vascular Fraction” (SVF)

It contains multiple strands of cells inclusive of;

  • pericytes – adipocytes – fibroblasts – endothelial cells
  • vascular progenitorts
  • endothelial progenitor cells – haematopoietic progenitors
  • mesencymal stem cells – haematopoietic stem cells

Let’s look closer at the SVF and the abilities of the cellular mix.

  • Migrate to injured tissue
    Migration includes the ability to travel throughout the vascular system, homing to areas of damage.
  • Differentiate into multiple tissues
    Differentiation is the process where less specialized cells becomes a more specialized cell type, eg: stem cell becomes a cartilage cell or muscle cell.
  • Release of trophic factors
    Trophic Factors support, grow, nourish and feed all the cells in the body.
  • Inhibit apoptosis
    Apoptosis is the death of cells which occurs as a normal and controlled part of an organism’s growth or development.
  • Stimulate angiogenesis
    Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels, involving migration, growth, and differentiation of endothelial cells. This improves blood supply to the cells.
  • Inhibit inflammation

Why don’t we culture (grow) these cells?

Our theory is, if you are going to war you would send the whole army right? you wouldn’t send only the generals….
Without getting into too much detail, when you culture these cells you are forced to pick out only the Mesenchymal Stem Cells and specifically grow this cell strand. This means you have to dispose of all of the other cellular strands which are very useful and beneficial for your body.

If you culture your cells, you are only picking the generals out of the army and sending them off to fight. You are more like to win the battle if you send the full army including the troops, medics, generals and so on.

  1. Adipose Tissue Derived Stem Cells
    This treatment involves collection of your body fat via liposuction, it is known as the “Gold Standard Treatment” containing extremely high cell counts for most patients and providing the ability to treat multiple joints along with an intravenous injection.
